Patient centered care

We view mental health care as a collaborative journey, where both you and our team play vital roles. Recognizing that you possess unique insights into your own symptoms and experiences, we value your input in shaping your care plan. While we offer evidence-based treatment recommendations, we prioritize your perspective and preferences in crafting a plan that resonates with you. By actively involving you in decision-making, we aim to foster a sense of ownership and empowerment in your treatment journey. Research shows that when patients are engaged in their care, they are more likely to adhere to the treatment plan and achieve positive outcomes. Together, we can work towards your goals and navigate your path to improved mental well-being.

Regular follow up appointment

We believe in more than just prescribing medication and sending you on your way. Building a trusting relationship with you is paramount to us. That’s why we schedule regular check-in appointments to ensure we stay connected and informed about your progress. During these appointments, we’ll discuss how you’re responding to your medication, any potential side-effects you may be experiencing, and explore topics like diet, exercise, sleep habits, work, and other responsibilities. Based on our discussions and your feedback, we’ll adjust your medication as needed to ensure it aligns with your evolving needs and goals. Your well-being is our priority, and we’re committed to providing comprehensive support every step of the way.

Personalized support

We offer personalized support to aid in your journey toward feeling better. Throughout your treatment, we’ll closely monitor your progress using tools like the GAD-7 to measure severity anxiety symptoms and PHQ-9 for severity of depression symptoms scales. These assessments and other assessment tools we use allow us to track your well-being in real time, providing valuable insights into your current state and guiding any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. Our goal is to ensure that you receive the tailored care you need to achieve optimal mental health and well-being.

Medication management

Medication management refers to improving mental health by utilizing medication. This is a collaborative process that involves the patient, the psychiatric provider, and others healthcare providers such as therapists or primary care providers. The goal of psychiatric medication management is to improve quality of life by eliminating or reducing psychiatric symptoms.

Psychiatric medication management begins with comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. During the interview we will discuss your health history leading up to the current visit. We will discuss when your symptoms start, what improves your symptoms and what makes them worse and any other relevant details. Based on the psychiatric evaluation medication may be recommended to help with symptom management as part of a treatment plan.

The selection of medication is individualized based on several factors including diagnosis, cost, patient preference, medications side effect profile and tolerability.

Psychotherapy

Our therapy sessions are centered on providing you with a supportive, non- judgmental environment where you can freely express your thoughts and emotions. Through talk therapy, our aim is to enhance your mental well-being and overall quality of life.

We address a range of challenges you may be facing, offering relief from psychological distress stemming from various life experiences. This could involve resolving relationship issues, coping with grief, or managing diagnosed mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. During therapy, you will acquire coping strategies and valuable skills such as stress management, identifying and changing behaviors that are harmful or counterproductive to your well-being, and self-care strategies to maintain personal well-being and prevent burnout. These tools not only assist in resolving immediate concerns but also empower you to navigate future challenges effectively.
